Godfrey Phillips Bravery award (Amodini) winners in the year 2013.
Madhuri Ghosh fronted a hugely successful micro-credit revolution in one of the blocks encompassing 80 villages in Howrah district of West Bengal, and formed the Bagnan-1 Mahila Bikas Cooperative Society Ltd., which is run by women for the empowerment and upliftment of 23,042 distressed female residents of the area. The Honorable Minister Manish Gupta, Actress Mamata Sankar and Rupa Ganguli were given this award.

Best Regional Cooperative 2018
In the Cooperative Samabay Mela held at Netaji Indoor Stadium in 2018, Bagnan Mahila Bikash Co-operative Society Limited was selected as the best cooperative in the women's cooperative category and awarded by the National Cooperative Development Corporation. Honorable Minister of the West Bengal Cooperative Department, Mr. Arup Roy presented the award.

Mrs. Madhuri Ghosh, the founder of Bagnan Mahila Bikash, was honored at the seventh annual ceremony of Uluberia Press Club held at Uluberia Rabindra Bhavan. She was felicitated by Uluberia's district governor Mr. Samik Kumar Ghosh. Also present on the stage were West Bengal government's Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Honorable Mr. Pulak Roy, and other distinguished personalities.
Our cooperative's Small Savings Habit programme has been honored with the Skoch Order of Merit award. We extend our gratitude to the SKOCH Group for selecting us. We also thank the 38,141 women from 82 villages of Bagnan-1 Block, whose support has contributed to the success of this small savings project. We continue to encourage women to save just Rs. 10/- or more than. In this way, the women of Bagnan have collectively saved an impressive sum of 61.72 crore rupees to build up a self-sustainable institution.
